"Pros: The location in the uphill Kochilos village is fantastic. The apartment has a nice terrace with breathtaking view of the gulf. The owners are very nice and always willing to help, also giving suggestions and tips about the beaches (depending also on the wind) and how to get there. They treated us with delicious omelette breakfast every morning and one evening they offered us great souvlaki. The apartment is well equipped, including a washing machine with all rack outside to dry clothes. We truly enjoyed our stay, the host, the accommodation and the village were really welcoming!" ~Eleonora

"Pros: I was looking for an apartment with two bedrooms and it is not easy to find one for a reasonable price. This apartment has a nice living room and a well furnished kitchen, one bedroom with a large bed and one smaller bedroom with a single bed. Kochylos is 8km from Ormos Kortiu and 14km from the Chora, up un a hill with beautiful views. Ioannis and Maria, the hosts, are very friendly and hospitable. They gave us many things that we could use (sweets and jam for breakfast, salt, olive oil, spices, drinks, toiletries) and were always willing to help. The view from the balcony is gorgeous. Parking is available about 100m from the apt. Cons: The apt is up on a hill, so a rental car is essential. We were there at the end of February and the weather was quite chilly and windy (we are hikers and we were expecting that). We were provided with two electric stoves and a/c, plus electric blankets, but in this season the temperature was not really comfortable. The shower, inside a small bathtub, as can be seen in the pictures, has two taps instead of a hot and cold water mixer, which would probably make things easier." ~Ultra

"Pros: An idyllic stay in the middle of nature, facing the sea in a house isolated enough to be calm and enjoy the breathtaking scenery but also ideally placed to enjoy the superb beaches accessible on foot or visit the beautiful island of Andros with lots of advice on visits when we arrived. "Pros: Very well maintained and traditional style house. Nice relaxing location in front of the sea. Very nice roof place for early morning and afternoon relaxing with big comfortable couches and diner tables with nice view. 5 min walking distance from city center, markt and beach. Cons: 2 of the total 8 beds (3 double and 2 single) are in the living room. We use the one (7 people in total) but it was quite small. Although it can be perfect for children aged from 3 - 14 years old." ~Nikos
