"Pros: Very clean, host very friendly.
You have all the things needed to cook and enjoy the food outside.
You got also umbrella and chairs for the beach to use them, so you don’t need to bring.
Cons: The entrance is on the other side fron the outside dinning table.
You need to go around every single time to bring things, which is a bit inconvenient." ~B.
"Pros: The guesthouse is 450-500 m from the main road on a narrow and partially paved road but with care it is easy to get there. The path to follow is signposted in advance with signs (on both sides of the main road) but you have to be careful. Also, the guesthouse is about 80 m from the beach. The alleys are arranged, the yard is well-kept, has a playground for children, 4 parking areas with sun protection and a large gazebo with tables and chairs for about 20 people, a well-equipped barbecue area.
We had a thoughtful gift package upon arrival (a bottle of water, a box of juice and a cake).
Studio was clean.
Each studio has (opposite the balcony) a shared terrace with another studio but each has its own furniture and space for drying clothes. Each studio also has a furnished balcony (facing the sea) and a very well-equipped kitchenette with a large fridge, electric oven, 2-burner hob, table with chairs and some useful things in the kitchen. (for us, the fridge and oven were also brand new). The bathroom is spacious enough, modern and newly renovated, hot water (with pressure) constantly. The room was spacious enough for us (2 people) but a family with 2 children I think they were a bit "clashing" (double bed and 2 bunk beds for children up to 10-11 years old). Linen and towels are washed at the property, they have staff and a special space. The TV - you will have 2 or 3 international channels.
The bed and mattress were very good for us (firm mattress), pillows OK.
The owner is helpful but is there just some time if someone came or other small jobs.
Cons: The property is very OK but it wasn't meant to be for us.
Ordered by importance:
- WiFi was almost non-functional when most people were in the rooms and anyway the signal was very very weak in the room and a little better if you were sitting on the balcony but you can't just sit on the balcony all the time. Also the phone network signal was weak so you couldn't compensate too much the WiFi.
- Due to the fact that most (or all) of the neighbors had children, we never had a quiet day. The barbecue area being very spacious, the playground... and all the neighbors from the same country, we NEVER had a day without screaming, laughing, music, children crying, children screaming, parents shouting at their children or parents talking to other parents on the opposite side of the property.
- The shaded parking lot next to the gazebo is the wrong way round (the entrances are facing the opposite direction of normal driving....) and you have to be careful, with a wide turn.
- The small window at the bathroom is oriented on the shared terrace.
- You don't have a person to talk to if you have something more "urgent" (to speak so).
*** It's not the owner's fault but the municipality's ...:
The streets/area are unorganized and it's hard to walk around and to get to Ierissos you MUST use the car (5.5 km). There is no place to eat or drink nearby.
There are the locals' dogs on the street. Not 1 or 2 but 6-7 and they are big dogs. They are not aggressive but you never know when you might run into them when they are fighting for something..." ~Mihai_v.
