"Pros: Views from the Terrace over the beach were amazing. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen and comfortable beds. We had a nice surprise to find good wifi as the write up said no wifi available. Soap was also provided. There was also a complimentary carafe of Raki which was also a nice surprise. Plenty of lovely restaurants and wine bars in Matala town and live music. The music could be easily heard from the Villa's terrace until 12 midnight. Cons: The information didn't say there were steep slopes and over 50 steps to get from Matala town and beach to the Villa. It was worth the effort but people need to be fit and mobile to walk from the town/ beach to the Villa as you cannot park a car near the Villa. The nearest Car parking is approximately 800 metres and 4 Euros a day. Free parking is further away." ~Ruth

"Pros: The hosts, Eva and Tolis were great and very helpful. The accommodation is one of the highest in Matala, giving you sensational views over the bay. Thank goodness we had Tolis to help us with the bags! The unit was very well appointed and after a day swimming, we spent a lot of time on the balcony enjoying the views. The apartment was reasonably spacious and very clean. You also get a bonus workout on the way up the stairs." ~Kerry

"Pros: We loved our stay at matala blue! The apartment was generously sized and had facilities that worked well for us. It was very close to the beach and town and had a great view over the bay. Our host was very friendly and helpful, she and her husband came over to fix the shower head very quickly after it had broken, and even messaged to check that we were ok after the earthquake! I would recommend this apartment to all my friends and family. Cons: It wasn’t a problem for us but note that to get to the apartment there is a short walk up a steep incline which may not be accessible for everyone." ~Anonymous

"Pros: The apartment was very clean, comfortable and really well decorated. There was a small well fitted kitchen if you don't want to eat out. The view was stunning and the balcony was well shaded, so it was really comfortable to sit out there any time. There was a bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival and packets of Melba toast and jam for breakfast. Cons: It was probably the highest apartment in Matala and would be difficult for anyone with mobility problems to navigate the slopes and stairs, particularly with larger suitcases" ~Pauline
