"Pros: Le Petit Château is a beautiful place to stay in Ano Syros; it is the third time we have been there and we feel really happy in this charming, peaceful medieval little house. We really live it as an experience of sharing the life of the people of Ano Syros and its sourroundings, and not just as visitors. We feel at home and we don't want to leave the place when we are there. It has everything we need, well furnished, fonctionning, clean and peaceful, with a great dreamview from the windows. But one of the most important features of Le Petit Château is Maria : she really is a wonderful host, she's so kind and understanding. Unforgettable welcome treats that we still enjoy. "Pros: Great view of the town from the terrace, a very cute little flat located on the hill of Ano Syros We were able to check-in early and check-out late which was very helpful at either end of our trip. It enabled us to maximise our time on the island. The bed was very comfortable The apartment had everything needed, iron, hairdryer etc and all possible catering requirements were met as well. Cons: Access to the terrace could be easier, the steps up to it were very small and stepping up through the skylight and stepping back down involved negotiating an awkward step and the actual skylight window itself was quite heavy. Access here could be improved. It might not be manageable for those of less than perfect mobility For a stay longer than one or a few nights, it would be useful to have more luggage/storage space The terrace would benefit from more shade (other than the provided parasol) and better lighting for utilising the terrace after sunset. The terrace light did not work on our visit and candles did not provide sufficient light for reading. It's many steps up to the apartment so consider a taxi to the Kamara entrance to Ano Syros (5/6 euros from the town)" ~Nick
