"Pros: A lovely villa and the beachside is lovely. The owner is very friendly as is Linda, the housekeeper. There are several excellent restaurants in very close walking distance from the villa - not cheap but stunning food. Cons: Unfortunately a very busy road behind the villa, which is quite noisy all the time ( including during the night) so we had to keep windows closed and use the air conditioning. Would help to have reef walkers as the beach is quite stony/pebbley in parts to get into the water." ~Bruce

"Pros: A lovely modern apartment with everything you might need. Beautiful views over the sea and of the town. The roof garden and plunge pool was great too. It's a flat and easy 30 minute walk to the Old Town (20 min briskly!). Our host Marianna was very helpful and always on hand at end of phone if needed. Cons: Nothing, really. Minor issue with the lighting system, which took us a while to understand. Unfortunately, power cuts across the area also meant it reset itself a few times, including in the night when most of the lights came on!! But we understood this couldn't be helped due to storms and some unusual weather. Overall, we would still very much recommend the apartment and Rethymno." ~Mark
