"Pros: The location and parking were good (9 minute walk to the beach and 30 minute walk/10 minute drive to the old town, easy to get on the highway out into mountains or up to Heraklion). Glad we had WiFi and aircon. Washing machine was useful as well, although it did drain into the bathtub. Cons: The staff were initially as helpful as they could be given the language barriers, but were also convinced there was no sofa bed (see photos for proof of sofa bed). We asked for an extra set of sheets so we could use the sofa bed but were told this was not possible and that there was no sofa bed in the apartment, despite one being advertised. We made do with some blankets and towels we found in the cupboards, but not an ideal situation. The water wasn't drinkable (but we expected this for the location). There was a drain in the bathroom floor so soap/laundry detergent came out into the bathroom floor. The apartment was incredibly basic. If you want to enjoy your time in your accommodation or make use of the kitchen, stay elsewhere. If you just want somewhere basic to sleep and then head out for the day, then this will do you fine." ~Esther

"Pros: M&m’s is a beautiful place to stay at! We had a great time at the loft. The host, Maria, recommended us lots of local restaurants and cafe’s and even surprised us with fresh tomatoes and grapes from her own garden. The loft was clean and the fridge was stocked with some snacks and a bottle of wine. The loft is located just a short walk from a beautiful beach and from the city centre of Chania. We definitely recommend staying at m&m’s and we would love to go back someday!" ~Rosalie

"Pros: Beautiful, spacious, well-appointed apartment with a very nice courtyard attached. Owner was very understanding when our arrival was delayed by the ferry. All the snacks, fruit, and beverages she left us really helped when we arrived late and were too tired to go out. Very generous to allow us to stay a little late. Having access to a washing machine really helped too! Cons: Parking was a little tricky at times but not nearly as difficult as it seemed at first (in the dark when we were exhausted). A bit of a walk to old town from here, (half an hour or so) but parking down there often won't allow you to get much closer anyway unless you're really lucky." ~Eric

"Pros: Spacious apartment with a large kitchen, comfortable beds and enough storage space to put everything away. On a busy road but we slept perfectly with the windows shut. Walking distance from the centre. Cons: The apartment had not been cleaned when we arrived after a long trip on a Sunday evening. We contacted the property host, they apologised and they had us stay in another (beautiful) apartment for the first night. We were happy with the way the host managed the inconvenience. It didn't ruin our mood or vacation ;)" ~El
