"Pros: Villa Phaedra is a well-maintained apartment featuring a spacious balcony and terrace, both offering stunning views, especially during sunrise and sunset. Access to the terrace is through external stairs. Situated in a countryside village, the apartment is conveniently located near Maleme (10 minutes) and Agia Marina (20 minutes). It is worth noting that having a car is essential (personal parking space is available outside the property). The apartment is finely decorated and provides all the necessary comforts to make you feel at home. The shower is particularly pleasant, and the bed offers excellent comfort. Although the host (George) and owner were not present to greet us personally, they displayed exceptional responsiveness and availability throughout our stay. They promptly addressed any inquiries or requests we had, demonstrating their genuine concern for the well-being of their guests. If we should rate just the property and the guests support, it would be a 9/10! Cons: Unfortunately, the villa is attached to a farmyard housing rooster and hens. The relentless crowing of the roosters during both the night and early morning hours disrupted our sleep and left us feeling deprived and exhausted throughout our stay. Eventually we ended up renting another apartment for 2 nights just to have some sleep, kindly refunded by the owner. We understand that some elements may be beyond the host's control, but the ongoing noise disturbance significantly impacted our ability to fully enjoy our time at this property. While the host did make efforts to address the issue, there was little they could do, as the animals belonged to a neighboring property. We appreciate their attempts to mitigate the problem, but it's essential for us to warn future guests about this issue and consider that the overall experience may not be aligned with the price. Unfortunately, this situation had a major impact on our overall score and we would not consider returning to this property in the future unless the rooster finds a new house!" ~Marianna
