"Pros: Ok, unbiased review about visiting Rügen in Germany, and first real nature experience abroad after staying in own country for 2 years. 1) Like the place and nature - quiet place, distant and far away from everything; like the overall vibe of German village atmosphere. 2) House space - had free parking lot for our car, space - it is OK to stay in the house with whole family. 3) Host - friendly, communicates well via booking system 4) Beach - had a walk to the beach close to the property, the area was super cool with swans P.S. Booked the place for my wife and her family, so she wrote this review. Cons: Now, it is the areas for improvement based on my travel experience to 40 countries and staying in different places in the world over the last 15 years. 1) Bed linen and towels - first time in my life I had a situation when I had to spend 2H of my time to go to nearest shop and buy bed linen for whole family, coz there was nothing. Don't know if it is typical for Germans or if it is a unique feature of this house, but I was very surprised and honestly think that it should be sorted out somehow. 2) Wi-fi - too slow. My understanding that it is because of that area overall, don't know if the host can actually do something abut it. 3) Amenities - nothing. Big surprise as well, because when I was staying in cheap or expensive place in Myanmar or Cambodia there was always something. Maybe since in this place stay mostly Germans, based on review languages, people prefer their own stuff? 4) Key pick up - arrived at Fr. Maggs, instructions were given in messages, nobody there, had to call. I had German-speaking friend with me and she talked on the phone about what's needed. Have no idea how I would manage picking up the key without any German. Maybe foreigners is not main target audience for staying at this place. 5) Temperature - in the begging of May house is cold. Yes there is heating inside but it is still cold. Maybe it can be improved by installing additional heaters" ~Anna
