"Pros: The apartment (and the whole building) is a cut above the great majority I have seen thoughout Georgia. Well-built and tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture. Everything needful in the kitchen, plus a delicious bottle of home-made wine! Elevator and doors work well. Very functional bathroom. Central location near a bus stop worked very well for us. Walking distance to many good things. We hope to come again on future visits to Kutaisi, a charming town. Cons: The living room and bedrooms would have been more pleasant with lamps, not just harsh overhead lighting. A desk and chair for laptop use with electrical outlets for chargers would have been helpful. Avto is a kind man and a good host in many ways, but our main disappointment was frustration in communicating with him in English. I had no luck reaching him by phone or SMS messages, ever. It took me too long to realize that he only responds using the Booking.com messaging system. This resulted in confusion and delay with our arrival, and in arranging a late check-out for an additional fee. The hot water system was set at barely warm, so our showers were disappointing. He offered to come to adjust the temperature, but his schedule and our schedules did not permit that to actually happen." ~Trainer
