"Pros: Bruno was absolutely fantastic. Such a happy and welcoming host. He drove me to the shop as soon as I arrived since I had to buy some food before it closed. The excursion he organised of the lagoon is the best one I have done in French Polynesia. The bed is also the best I had slept in during my month-long trip. The kitchen is big, clean and has all necessary instruments for cooking. Cons: Nothing, all positive!" ~Lucia

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely hosts who made us feel right at home. After days spent exploring the island, the pool was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Fare Tapu offered the perfect blend of comfort, tranquility, and genuine warmth. "Pros: Sophie (Sof) and Patrice’s (Pat) aka Sofpat fare was more than we could have hoped for. It looked in real life just the same as the pictures in their advert. It was clean, well equiped with everything we required. The fare was private, it was easy to access. The location to town was perfect. To be fortunate enough to have access to a great pool really worked for us and to have our own car to use the whole time we were there was the icing on the cake. As much as everything I have written was superb I really would like to write also that over and above how the fare was and equiped it was the engagement, the hosting, the caring from Sophie, Patrice, Agnes, Mahealani, and Hinenui that my wife and I will most remember. Right from our arrival at the airport and to be greeted by Mahealani and Hinenui these two strong and beautiful Mao’hi women who picked us up, then to meet the matriarch of their family Mama Agnes who brought us a freshly prepared breakfast each morning that was more than my wife and I could eat. We were lucky to meet Sophie and Patrice the day before we left Raiatea and although our time with them was brief, both were the utmost of hosts to us. My wife and I have already decided to return in June 2026 (at the latest) and we’ll only be staying with Sophie, Patrice and their extended family. We’ll start french language lessons as soon as we arrive back to Aotearoa (New Zealand). Cons: Nothing to note." ~Keri

"Pros: Great pool, clean and cosy chalet. Location is ok but requires a car. By taxi to the town count 2500-3000 xpf Cons: It would be great to install sun chair at the pool. no furniture at all at the pool. Wifi was not operational during my stay. Had to buy mosquito repellent to plug in. its a must everywhere." ~Marco
