It has a beautiful and calming view from the hill it sits on across the ocean and the breathtaking Tahitian scenery. It has everything you need to just relax and let yourself exist, but is also a great base to launch your explorations from. That alone would be enough, but there’s even more. Manu, the host of this wonderful house was, what made our stay unforgettable though. He shared his stories and knowledge about his Island, customs, and culture with us and most of all his passion for everything. "Pros: We had a wonderful stay at Moanaura Lodge. It is located in a quieter part of the island further away from all the tourists and cruise ships, which allows one to be more immersed in the local culture. The setting is beautiful with lush jungly mountains on one side and the blue ocean on the other. Klaus was a fantastic caretaker for the property - very friendly and approachable, willing to answer all of our questions. Meileana was also readily available by email and promptly responded to any questions we had about check in and payment. Overall, this property is great value for its price!" ~David

"Pros: What an amazing place! I booked our stay based on a recommendation from a friend and it was even better than she described! The rooms are comfortable and there are delicious meals available on request. The location is spectacular. The reef out front is healthy and beautiful and the snorkeling was the best we had in Tahiti. There are great restaurants nearby and a good surf break nearby. Alexy has all kinds of snorkeling gear, kayaks, and boards available for rent. I would stay here again in a minute and can't wait to come back!" ~Katherine
