And now, the surprise: two weeks later, I received a request from Booking to pay €100 for allegedly damaging the mattress. Shame on you, property owner. I had higher expectations. How many others have you tried to squeeze money from before? Cons: After a two-week hiatus, I've decided to revisit this location with a review, driven by an unprecedented situation that occurred. Before making the payment for the reservation, I asked if an earlier check-in than the specified time in the property's listing was possible, around 11 am instead of 4 pm. I received confirmation that it was possible, made the payment, and eagerly awaited my arrival in Paris. Apart from the fact that the building numbering didn't match the listing, and the registered phone number on Booking couldn't be reached, I had to resort to WhatsApp. After about an hour of attempting to contact them, they finally responded, saying early check-in wasn't possible unless the cleaning was expedited, which they would let me know. With a 6-year-old child in tow and plans based on the earlier check-in assurance, we stored our luggage in a locker (as they refused to assist), and explored Paris. They didn't contact me until 4 pm. Frustrated at the thought of finding alternative accommodation, they finally messaged back that I could come. A young man, without any apologies for the lack of communication or offer to help with luggage on the steep, almost impossible stairs, led us to the top-floor apartment. The photos of the apartment were artistic, but the reality was dirty and dusty. The bed sheets and duvet cover were moldy, left in an IKEA bag. We had to wash them. The closets were filled with their clothes, leaving us no space. The apartment wasn't adequately insulated, and despite the central heating running non-stop, it remained freezing. The TV connected to an audio system with a malfunctioning remote, and even the TV remote didn't work. The fridge had half-consumed drinks, and the bathrooms had used items, including a dirty hairbrush." ~Irinel
