"Pros: The apartment was very clean, well stocked, and in a great location. All appliances functioned well. The beach out front was not too crowded with several ice cream parlors and restaurants nearby. There were also fun seafood and vegetable markets within walking distance. A great place to stay for families. You would be hard pressed to find another beachfront rental for this price, so the negatives below are tolerable. Cons: The caretaker on site was always late for meeting times and slow in their response times to inquiries made during our stay via text. The best is to call. Inquiries made on the booking.com messaging service were sometimes ignored. Secondly, additional charges may occur by using the air conditioning unit and other appliances as the washing machine. Their usage is tracked by a meter in the bathroom that will be used to charge you extra if you go over the amount of kilowatts allowed by the owner during your stay. The rental’s listing says additional charge for ac, but the confirmation email from booking.com does not. So be aware of this as this is in addition to the electricity fee already paid through booking.com. You will also be charged a local city tax per person per night upon arrival that is not mentioned by booking.com. Third, the additional service for linens mentioned in the listing for an extra charge was not available during our stay. So bring your own bed linens, towels, etc. Lastly, our designated parking space was often occupied by other cars, though there is a free lot across the street within a short walking distance if this happens. There is a bar lock you could put up, but we did not try." ~Jason
