"Pros: super nice and fresh home, we had our own little apartment just next to thw family house. we enjoyed the pool and the small quiet town. would recommend to go here! Thanks:)" ~Vall
"Pros: This has the potential to be a very nice gite as it is spacious inside and reasonably private. The kitchen is well equipped, has plentiful shelves and the beds are wide and comfortable. However the owner has passed the management over to an Agency and this is its major defect. (See below). Note that it does NOT have a working wifi internet connection.
Cons: We have stayed in many gites in France over several years but this must be the most poorly managed gite we have ever been in. The Agent does not seem very interested or driven to actually solve any problems.
1/ The door key code is supposed to be emailed to you at 5pm on the day of arrival but this is a very precarious & unreliable arrangement for a traveller who may not necessarily have an internet connection or even a charged or working mobile phone. When we did not receive the email at 5.15pm we had to telephone with some trepidation for fear that the Agency office might already be closed for the day.
2/ I had contacted the Agent 2 weeks before arrival re the internet connection as this was important to me and he promised to get it rectified. However, on arrival it was NOT working and despite 3 reminders to him over our two week stay it was never fixed! He asserted we could use the owner's internet next door but this actually requires you sit in their tasting room - not practical and certainly impossible at 10pm at night!
3/ There are absolutely NO printed/written instructions or information regarding essential items or equipment in the gite (not even the code to connect to the wifi router). The agent promised to send us some printed information but never did so throughout our stay. 'Scan the QR code' he says – but how do you do that if the wifi internet connection doesn't work? The QR code does NOT point to any information specific to the internals of that gite.
4/ Important radiators did not work because of an airlock.
5/ The smoke alarm clearly did not work as it lay disassembled in pieces on the table.
6/ The TV did not work as the remote control did not have any batteries in it.
7/ The shower floor is sloped the wrong way so that water collects away from the drain hole and sometimes overflows into the bathroom.
8/ We improvised closing of the window shutters with a piece of wire - latches..." ~Eugene
