"Pros: The apartment was absolutely beautiful and I felt really privileged to be their first guest. This was an unexpected trip, which I booked impulsively at the last minute and I am so glad I did. The lovely Vincent showed me all the practical details I needed to know. As I walked into the apartment, the evening sun was streaming in through the large windows from the balcony and it was just stunning. I needed a relaxing, private break and that’s exactly what I got, but within the convenience of a city on the doorstep. Very well equipped and a lovely comfortable bed, with a glorious balcony on the penthouse of the building, looking out across the quaint tiled rooftops to the nearby church. The church bells started pealing shortly after I arrived on Sunday evening and it just felt magical. I loved the styling of the apartment and the design details that made it feel special and authentic, whilst also being comfortable and homely. I had the option of wandering across to explore the old mediaeval fortress (La Cite) within a 15-20 min walk, the shops in the main city on the doorstep, or the train station within a 5-10 mins walk. When I wanted to chill out, I just relaxed on the balcony, read a good book and sunbathed privately. There was a well stocked little supermarket, literally just around the corner. A truly lovely experience and just what I needed to recharge my battery after a tiring few months - thanks so much to Vincent, his team at their offices nearby and the owners lucky enough to have such a fantastic pied a terre! X Cons: There was nothing about the apartment that I didn’t like. I booked very, very late last minute, on a Saturday evening and was a bit anxious about how I would meet up the next day on a Sunday to collect the keys. The confirmation email wasn’t particularly clear on the details about how to check in. But I needn’t have worried and I got a text and a What’s App from Vincent about 2hrs prior to the 5-7pm check in period. I had stopped for a coffee in the square nearby at the time and Vincent arranged to meet up outside the apartment shortly afterwards, to provide the keys, welcome and show me around. I felt relaxed and safe, as soon as I saw his big smile and helpful, friendly demeanour. I tried to practice my long-forgotten schoolgirl French on Vincent, but he could understand and communicate in English whenever I got stuck for words.
