"Pros: The location was excellent, just around the corner from Cours Mirabeau. The apartment itself was spacious and nicely furnished, well matching the pictures. The stair was steep, partly without handrail, but it came as no surprise. Cons: What was lacking for assigning a top rating was the quality of equipment and service: - the smoke alarm had no battery, and did not even function when we had bought a new one. According to the instructions the alarm should be fixed at the ceiling - but it was hanged at the wall at mid-height. When we asked for help, a new alarm was finally delivered after our insistence but no one offered to put it in place. - The pans had lost their flat bottoms, some of the cups were dented and only one sharp knife was available (but its proper handle was missing). Some kitchenware was not cleaned. - The toilet seat and cover were not properly mounted. - Contact with and instructions from the agency was somewhat lacking in clarity and engagement." ~Marianne
