"Pros: Kelo Aurora far exceeded our expectations. We stayed four nights over New Year as family of four 2A and 2C (10+8) on holiday from Australia. The cabin was exceptionally well decorated and equipped and SO MUCH SPACE! The children appreciated having their own rooms and loved the Bear rug to watch movies from. We appreciated that it was a stand alone cabin so didn’t have to worry about the children being noisy for neighbours. The view over the lake is exceptional, and we had a very special evening cooking sausages and roasting marshmallows over the outdoor fire, greatly appreciating the reindeer fur for warmth. The host was easy to contact and directions for check in very clear. We had a decent snow fall whilst there so appreciated use of the drive shovel (and the local tractor that then came past to clear the drive!). We were treated to the most magnificent Aurora to celebrate the new year and could enjoy it from just outside the house. This place is heaven and we would happily live here! The children had great fun playing in the snow and using their Christmas sleds just outside! A very short drive to the Kmarket if needed. Perfect place for anyone wanting to get away and truly relax. "Pros: The house was great layout, super clean (looked like everything was brand new. Beds were comfortable and all equipment worked and very good quality. Plenty of nice glasses, Cutlery and other kitchen wear. The location in lower kilpisjarvi was great, super quiet with reindeer walking about. Would definitely stay again. "Pros: The facility is great and has a wonderful location with a picturesque lake view. It is suitable for people who are looking for a peaceful place to stay with lots of outdoor activities. Some of the trails are within walking distance (starting near the Kilpisjärvi Visitor Center) or even right behind the house, and some are just ~10km away (e.g., Saana trail, Pikku-Malla, and Three-Country Cairn). Tromso is about 2.5 hours away. Cons: The water supply system is not intuitive to use." ~Juri

"Pros: 1. Very responsive host who was really helpful to resolve and address questions. 2. Very well maintained and beautiful house with ample amenities. 3. Rooms were beautiful and full glass which gave us the opportunity to look at the wonderful view in a cosy home. 4. The jacuzzi was great, good for family bonding. Cons: 1. The heating takes a long while to heat up the home, had to struggle with the coldness for a while. 2. The fireplace was a little hard to operate, perhaps should have clearer instructions to help guests operate. 3. The location on google maps was not accurate, so had to walk around to find the actual unit. 4. For travellers who don’t drive, location can be quite a challenging walk in the cold winter." ~Chee
