"Pros: The owner lives at the same premise so that is very helpful. He helped when my car was stuck in snow. In addition, the apartment is able to view aurora when the sky is clear (back of the house is north facing). We were very lucky as we managed to capture the wonderful moments at one of the night stay there." ~Leong

"Pros: We had an amazing time at Paukkula. The apartment is very comfy, charming and well equipped, with all necessary to have a great time. It’s close enough to Saariselkä to enjoy all the activities but far enough to see the northern lights directly from the house. Ilkka was very helpful but discreet and kind. "Pros: It was an AMAZING price comparing it with any other places in saariselkä, also a great location if you have your own car. It is extremely peaceful. This was absolutely amazing and even though some small things could be improved, you won’t find a better place than this. Absolutely amazing for a cozy couple vacation! (Not sure how i would feel about being there with more than 2 people, there is beds but i think the common area would be too cramped) We loved having OUR OWN! sauna, fireplace, and huge outdoor area with no other people around. Cons: The blankets were very thin, especially for it being lapland in winter! And we weren’t allowed to put the heating higher so one of those things needs to change. Overall, it seemed like it had been cleaned but could have been cleaned better." ~Lucia
