"Pros: This cabin offered a mixed experience. While the location was beautiful, with opportunities for canoeing and berry picking, there were several maintenance issues that detracted from our stay. On the positive side: The host was really nice and accommodating and he explained everything really well. He even came back the next day when we ask for assistance on how to turn on the saavi. Beautiful location with canoeing and some berry picking opportunities. Sauna and fireplace with provided firewood for grilling. Kitchen with basic cooking supplies (pots, pans, plates) for those who prefer to cook in. Free tea and some kitchen spices provided. Cons: However, there were significant maintenance problems that need addressing: Thin curtains offered, would be best if they’re blackout curtains. Broken closet in the kitchen and malfunctioning fan in one of the bedrooms (we couldn’t use at all). No dish soap, hand soap, or sufficient kitchen paper for a 4-night stay with 3 guests. Some expired kitchen items. Bathroom floor design flaw caused water overflow during showers. Mosquitoes were a significant issue during our summer stay (but this might be our fault since we left the fireplace door open and the mosquitoes might have come from there (I killed 16 mosquitoes in one night and couldn’t sleep at all) So if you are staying here in summer, remember to close everything. Overall, the cabin has potential but needs maintenance improvements for a more comfortable experience." ~Mjsx
