"Pros: Great views across Helsinki - Very easy and convenient to get to, metro station with direct access to the centre - Flat is nicely decorated - Kitchen was well equipped with lots of Finnish design kitchen ware - While there is only one bathroom with a shower, there is a separate toilet as well - The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable Cons: on arrival the flat was dirty in some parts. We found bits of food in the kitchen sink, the dish sponge was also dirty and brown in colour. The tea towel provided for drying dishes was also dirty and we could not find clean ones. - A couple of mirrors as well table tops were dirty. We also found some old biscuits in one of the corners of the living room. - In the bathroom there was hair on the floor as well as a massive chunk of long black hair stuck in the drain. There was also trash in the bathroom bin. - When we notified our host about the flat being dirty she just ignored us and we never got any reply regarding this. We found this very rude and unprofessional. I don’t know if they have a professional cleaner for the home or have done it themselves, but definitely need to invest in a better cleaning service if they want to rent their home to others. - One of the beds, marketed as a double, was definitely just a single bed. My daughter and her partner could not sleep properly during the night and woke up with very bad back pain as the bed was far too small for two people. The blanket provided for the bed was also a small single blanket. One of them wanted to sleep on the sofa but we could not find any spare blankets so it wasn’t possible. - No where in the description of this flat does it say that it is someone’s home. We very put off by all the personal belongings in the house. There was absolutely no closet space for us as every cupboard and closet was filled with the family’s own clothes. Had we known this we would not have booked. Same applies for the bathroom as the cupboard and bathroom floor was full of their own products." ~Ivar

"Pros: The plan was to recapture 25 years of Helsinki-walking and eating. We're glad we stayed a week — otherwise we would not have left this magnificent flat. The Bookingcom pics does not tell the whole truth — it is even better. Had we discovered the roof-terrace at an earlier stage, we probably wouldn't have left the buildings at all. Bird's eye view of the Helsinki archipelago, all the ships we've sailed with, and parts of the town we'd seen only from streetlevel. DO NOT FORGET YOUR BINOCULARS. We recieved a good description on how to find the flat. Read it carefully! From we picked up our luggage at HEL till we were in the apartment took some 90 minutes, thanks to the aforementioned good description and a excellent public transport system (HSL; €44/week/pax, zone ABC). Redi has all you need; Alko, large groceries, restaurants and good communications. Then it can't be wrong at all. Cons: Cons; missed a microoven. As complete strangers, it was not obvious what and where the keybox was...and only one key for the both of us...like asking for problems!" ~Arne
