"Pros: An excellent location. Walking distance to centre of town (15min) and lots of bus and tram options within two mins walking from the apartment. 15m walk to the beach for swimming/strolling/restaurants, lots of parks nearby and such an interesting area. Ten out of ten for location. Lovely, minimalist, clean mid century building with lift. Double doors kept sound to a minimum and having a balcony was wonderful. We were up high (4th for) so able to leave to door open during the hot nights. Crisp clean bed sheets. Shower and bathroom is a bit kooky in layout but all works very well. Kitchen/Living area works well space wise. Cons: Where the place was clean it was immaculate. We did let the owner know about some areas in the kitchen that needed attending to. (Adding an update here to say disappointingly, we had no response whatsoever to a private message we sent to the host about the state of the kitchen. (We let them know in good faith in case they were not aware and given the state of the cooker and white goods, would have expected an acknowledgement.) The bedroom has a large double bed with mattress and topper. This is a bed for people who like very soft beds. Not for us, so we took the topper into the main room and had plenty of room for a more solid comfortable sleep. We didn't mind but maybe not for everyone. The rest of it made up for a small inconvenience The sofa is quite comfy for reading. A huge TV screen. Small detail but would be excellent if it was programmed for the option of English subtitles as well as other languages. We were keen to watch Finnish TV rather than log onto our own Netflix, though that is an option. Overall we were very happy because it was a relatively good price for the area." ~Jennie
