A 15-minute ferry ride from Helsinki, this island hostel is situated in the Suomenlinna Fortress area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi, a communal kitchen and use of a public computer. Hostel Suomenlinna is housed in a former Russian elementary school from the early 1900s. Accommodation options are either private or dormitory style, while bathroom facilities are shared. Guests can relax in the hostel's lounge or in the green areas surrounding the hostel during warm months. Laundry services are available. A grocery store is directly across from Suomenlinna Hostel, while a sandy beach is 600 metres away. Restaurants, cafés and historical sites are easily accessed. Sunbathing and nature walks are typical area activities.

Parking is subject to availability due to limited spaces. Please note that the reception closes at 15:30 from Monday until Saturday and at 14:00 on Sundays. The property will send a door code and other information for late check-in via email 24h before check-in. We offer breakfast between 8:30am-10am. Breakfast needs to be booked 24 hours in advance. If no breakfast reservations are made, it won’t be served. The price is 9 €/adult and 6 €/child (4-10 years). Please contact the reception, if you want to add breakfast to your booking.
