"Pros: We arrived on a stormy cold day to this modern unit, which was wonderfully warm. The basement level comprises the large bathroom and bunk room, and is heated with underfloor heating, while the upper (street-level) has the master bedroom, kitchen, dining, and lounge areas, and is heated with a heat pump. Despite there being buildings in front, you still have a nice view out to the fiord and the boats coming and going. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, rangetop, large fridge/freezer and all the accessories you could need/want. There was a wonderful coffee maker that not only brewed the coffee, but crushed the beans as well. One of the best I've seen! We were able to use the tv to mirror our laptop, allowing us to watch our preferred channels. The neighbourhood is quiet and peaceful, despite being in the center of town. There is a grocery store just a short distance away, while the recommended walk to Hvannhagi Lake starts a block away.
This was such a lovely, modern, warm accommodation option we would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable base to spend a few days!
Cons: This is not a criticism, but just to be aware. The unit is 2-storied, with the basement level being accessed by a built-in rung ladder. This requires maneuvering to get down, probably more so for older people. Also, as the main bedroom is on the upper floor, the mid-night trip to the bathroom could constitute a hazard.
The other interesting thing is that the master room is absolutely full-up with the double bed. There is no room to walk around it, and hence nowhere to put any bags or clothing etc. It makes it very snug and cosy, but a little awkward getting into and out of for the person sleeping on the far side." ~Tracy
"Pros: Very spacious and comfortable place with kitchen, washing machine and everything. Quick communication with the owner
Cons: Just like everywhere in Faroese Islands its a bit pricy, but still reasonable compared to other options." ~Jakob
