"Pros: Very clean and nice layout. Easy access, good and free parking, close to food places and the Haapsalu Kuursaal / Promenade. Castle next door ;) Cons: As it is located at the street, you need to take into consideration street noise. We also missed microwave and toaster, but kitchen is small, so no harm." ~Ando

"Pros: It was a nice apartment in the upstairs (no lift) of a building in the old town. The ceilings were sloping, taking up some of the space, but actually quite beautiful shapes. The front door came into the kitchen with a door to the bathroom on the other side of the fridge. The well-equipped kitchen was open-space with the dining / living room area. The living area included a rocking chair and a very comfortable full-length sofa (probably also hide-a-bed). There was a balcony off from the living room with a couple chairs and table and a view of the church tower across the street and a distant view of the sea. The bedroom was comfortable with enough unpacking space. There was a steep ladder going up to a loft space. We expected to find a mattress up there but nothing except a water tank (I suppose for hot water). The apartment was within very easy walking distance of both the sea promenade and the castle / historical area and the whole very-nice town seems to have free parking. We parked, as instructed, just across the street from the apartment in front of the church. Cons: One minor and one major complaint. Minor - no hand soap (empty container) in the bathroom sink and no shampoo or body soap in the shower. Major problem was communication with the owner. The day before we arrived I had to write and ask for parking and check-in information. They answered that quickly, in Estonian. Glad I was still at home as I would have had a problem translating that with my phone. About checking in, we were told there were stairs in the back of the building and a lock-box for the keys outside the door, so I was expecting some outdoor stairs. Nope. There was a door in the back, which I eventually discovered opened to the stairs. But this door was locked, and no lock box for the keys there. I called to the owner but they didn't answer. Luckily, after about 10 minutes frustration, the renter of another apartment came out that door for a smoke, so we got in, went up the stairs, and found our keys in the lock-box. However, there was no key to that outer door, so we had to find that other renter and ask him to NOT lock that door again. Every time we came back to the apartment, we were afraid we'd be locked out again, but fortunately that didn't happen again. So if you stay in the apartment, DON'T lock the outer door at the bottom of the stairs! There were no instructions in the apartment so we tried to contact the owner again for the Wifi code, but again no answer. On the second day, we finally noticed the code on a small card taped to the corner of the TV table. Would have been a nice stay if we had better communication with the owner." ~Todd

"Pros: We loved everything about the apart! It was very clean, amazing location close to the sea promenade, close to the old town. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need! The owner definitely put extra thought in every detail. Highly recommend the apartment. Cons: It's not a bad thing, but if you come with a group of people then you should be mindful about hot water, as there's a boiler, and the water was just enough for 3 of us." ~Parinskaja
