"Pros: I had a great stay at Timo Guest House. I was looking for a calm place to rest and relax, and that’s exactly what I found. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The kitchen had the basics, which was enough for me to cook a few meals. The host was generous and did his best to accommodate my needs. We had some issues with the bathroom water, but it was quickly resolved. From my room, I had a view of the pyramids, and the direct access to the terrace was a real highlight — the sunsets from there were absolutely breathtaking. The entrance to the pyramids is very close — I could walk there in under 10 minutes." ~Célia

"Pros: The studio is very clean and a stone throw away from the Pyramids of Giza. The neighbourhood allows you to experience an authentic egyptian lifestyle with all the rush and colours of Giza. The Host Mr Saeed is more than just a Host, he is a golden heart person and a friend whose hospitality will make you feel at home and whose advice will make your trips easier. He will do anything to make your stay memorable. The breakfast is a consistent Egyptian breakfast that will keep you full for hours, you may not require any lunch. "Pros: Amazing location in Giza within sight of the pyramids. Right in the heart of things with camels, horses and wagons right outside the building. Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfasts and good WiFi. Good links to the new museum. There are also some nice restaurants close by. The neighbourhood is rustic but seemed safe and the locals were very helpful. Cons: It's quite basic so don't expect many luxurious things but it is clean and safe. But be prepared to see real Giza not a tourist neighbourhood. The shower and toilet are all one small room. So be prepared for that. The entrance is not signed which makes it tricky to find when you first arrive. The road to get to the first house is quite narrow so some drivers weren't keen on using that route but we always made it home!" ~Steve

"Pros: The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the pyramid ticket office. The environment is quiet, the room is clean, tidy and comfortable, and the facilities are complete and brand new. Andy and his family are warm and friendly, thoughtful and meticulous, and actively communicate with guests before check-in. Although we only stayed for one night, our experience was very good.
