"Pros: The location was perfect. It was just a short walk down the street to one of the main squares in Quito. There were also a few small shops, cafes, and restaurants nearby for food. The apartment had a key card entry to the complex, a guard at the complex entrance, and a separate key for the apartment, so we felt safe and secure during our stay. The apartment was spacious with 2 bedrooms and had comfortable furniture. It was really nice to have a washer and dryer as we were in-between 2 tours and needed to do our laundry before departing on the second tour. The owner communicated well and we appreciated the large bottle of water that she left for us. Cons: There were a few annoyances that kept us from giving this apartment a higher score. First the shower head did not attach to the wall (the device to hold it to the wall appeared broken), so you had to hold it in your hand to take a shower. This was pretty awkward when washing your hair. Second, the apartment advertised the availably of a coffee maker, but we only found a kettle for boiling water. Third, the apartment advertised an iron, but I could only locate the ironing board and not the iron." ~Rachel

"Pros: Great location easy walk to everything though lots of steep hills. Building is secure and quiet with the exception of loud heavy vehicles during the early morning. Xavier was very responsive when we needed anything. Comfortable beds, shower with on demand hot water heater and plenty of pressure. Cons: After walking up a bunch of hills to get there after a long day, you still have to walk up three more flights of stairs. One of the windows didn't close, so blocking out noise wasn't an option, but it gets pretty quiet at night so it wasn't a problem. It doesn't have parking, but there are parking garages nearby but charge per hour with no daily rate." ~Vanessa
