"Pros: nearness to beach - cosy hamlet. The interior decor- and the garden facilities.The cottage was very clean and well equiped and had a good double bed and duvet - Cons: Location was marred by the nearby pig farm - which stunk when we arrived - but improved as the week went on. we would not book it again because of this. also we had no idea the cottage would be soooo low. Erling is 1.88 metres tall and could only stand up straight in the shower . I am much shorter but felt I had to move cautiously all the time. But most dissapointingly the wood stove, which was one of the main reasons we chose this particular cottage for an October holiday , totally failed to draw properly. we took advice from Dan Center and made 3 attempts to light it and simply ended up with smole alarm screaming, our eyes streaming and having to sit out on the summer house while the smole cleared . Also , we opened the door to air out the smoke and then had 3 frogs hopping about the hall and kitchen .Photos of frogs and smoking stove available . we were able to laugh about it but I dread to think what some truely urbane visitors or high expectation Germans would have made of it all. We are used to wood stoves and had brought half a boot full of our own logs to enjoy long evenings by the wood stove. well. we couldn't and it was disappointing , not to mention that it all began to feel very cool and damp by the end of the week. Admittedly the weather was wet for a few of the days and judging by the state of the fields had been recently very wet and obviously the chimney was damp and cold . however, this should be taken into account when renting out a low lying cottage in October. ok there was a varme pumpe but not everybody's respiratory health can cope with the atmosphere it creates ...me for one !!! i end up coughing all the time...which is why we opted for a cottage with a wood stove . Maybe the chimney needs inspection...it was scary to see smoke issuing out of the thatch ...its such a beautiful little house ...I had visons of it all burning down as the chimney went on fire" ~Erling

"Pros: The house is very charming, with lots of sitting areas for social gathering. Close to water. Beds are comfortable. Cons: Linens and bath towels and tea towels were not provided, which was NOT stated anywhere on the property description. There was no hot water on arrival and only one half roll of toilet paper. When I messaged the staff during their normal working hours, they were unhelpful in fixing the situation and sent me an automated message telling me to contact the emergency hotline. We ended up buying our own linens and troubleshooting the water heater ourselves. The shower is just curtains in the small bathroom, which means the entire floor gets wet, as well as the toilet seat. The house is a traditional danish summerhouse, so if you're taller than 165cm you will hit your head." ~Dominique

"Pros: Awesome house with even more possibilities of sleep than in desription. (4 people could have their own room (but one is really only big enough for a bed :))) Nice kitchen and living room. Comfortable more than normal. Very good communication and very kind owner. Top - thnak you for very nice stay, we are always happy to come back. Cons: Very weak and soft sting upper floor (of the older house), but renovations are nice and modern! and little bit cold the same bedrooms (but there was prepared separate heating to the power socket which could heat the room fast)." ~Jiří

"Pros: the house was nicely clean, in a nice open location, well kept garden to enjoy, comfortable beds, lots of kitchen equipment. lovely house in general with lots of spaces to hang out. peace and quiet, only fields around. Cons: there were a few bugs in one of the bedrooms, of course the house is in the countryside but we didn't love that. also the fridge/temperature were off (very humid house). In other accommodations (with DanCenter) at least the fridge was on (food traveled from CPH, and it would be nice to be able to cool it fast)." ~Senikoglou
