Apartment Liv - 50m From The Sea In Sealand By Interhome

"Pros: The property itself was ok.
Cons: The main problem was the whole booking experience. Booking. com passed this onto Interhome (who were terrible). They then passed it onto a Danish company called Sol Og Strand (who were very good).
1. I was told to communicate with Interhome. They were terrible with responding via email or ‘contact the property’. They responded when they felt like it at their leisure.
2. They wouldn’t give me the full address of the property until 28 days before the booking which made it difficult to book a driver who needed a ‘pick up’ address.
3. When I got the address they gave me the right street address but not the right name of the building.
4. Interhome told me to contact Sol Og Strand for delivery and the keys. When I contacted them Interhome had not given them any of my details or booking. They knew nothing about me. Luckily a lovely lady at Sol Og Strand only found my booking ( without my name) by searching the property.
There were no keys to be delivered! I was supposed to simply get a door code.
5. Nobody told me that this code was time sensitive and that the door wouldn’t open before 4pm. Not knowing this (as I’ve never experienced this before) made me worry I had the wrong code ( which I was trying at 3.50)
6. I am an experienced traveler but this time missed the fine print that no bed linen or towels would be supplied. This is completely unusual for an Australian traveler. When I asked Interhome if they would supply these and that I was happy to pay they said NO!
However Sol Og Strand were so kind and said there was no problem to supply these which they delivered.
Coming from Australia the last thing you want to add in your suitcase are sheets and towels! Btw when Interhome said NO I was forced to go buy these not knowing that SolOg Strand would say yes. Wasted my money.
7. Basically the property was but you really need a car to stay here because it’s a solid 20 minute walk to the town centre and at least 25-30 minutes to the train station (depends how fast you walk)."
