"Pros: The hills and beaches near the house were beautiful. Large TV and fast wifi impressed teenage sons. Cons: First off the pictures do not correspond to the same house on the listing. The house was not cleaned properly. The fireplace and grill were dirty (burned wood and coals not cleaned away), there were crumbs still in the oven, and the mattresses had horrible stains on them. All the furniture (indoor and outdoor) was covered in dog hair (and we have a dog, so our tolerance is pretty high). Some of the dishes were still dirty- like they had not properly cleaned in the dishwasher but put away anyway. The whirlpool could not be used because the house doesn’t have enough hot water to fill it. The sauna will heat up eventually but the temperature indicator outside is off by about 45 degrees celsius and there is no thermometer in the sauna. There is also no smoke detector in the house, which we realized after the wood stove smoked up. The yard is fenced with a construction site fence that our dog could get through. The road in front of the house was loud and the cars and trucks drive very fast. There is no sidewalk or lights so it is not pedestrian friendly.To reach the beach you need to cross this road, and locate an access that isn’t private. Everything is a bit old and about to fall off…except the huge television and the nicely equipped kitchen and the fast wifi. The layout is very odd. A bit like a warehouse or a house in the game The Sims that someone made with no walls just to see what would happen." ~M.

"Pros: Location and how big was the house. Cons: Company that is renting didn't provide correct information. If I didn't send email I wouldn't know that I need to bring my own bed sheets, pillow covers, blanket covers and towels. There was no information about it and when asked about it they wanted to charge extra to have it. Two days prior our arrival I got message that we need to pay extra for electricity and that we need to clean house or pay cleaning company or do it. Cleaning part would be acceptable if house was clean when we arrived. House was full of dead and alive bugs, in the entrance of it and living room there was sand on the floor, shelfs were dusty and there were spider webs everywhere. House looked like it wasn't been cleaned or used in a while. When trying to reach out for rental company, only automatic messages were responding. In message that I got it said when leaving we need to bring key to their local office, office was closed and there it said to drop the key into their mailbox. I did how was instructed, but later in a day I got a call from company accusing me that new guest couldn't come in because there were no key... All in all bad rental company, no communication on their part and just looking to scam people and earn more money in every possible way." ~Dorasm
