"Pros: The villa is super stylish at a very reasonable price. It has everything you need to feel at home straightaway.
The pool is superb - clean, a good size and depth and lots of space to lie and manoeuvre around. It is nice and warm but refreshing, and well lit at night so you can swim when the sun goes down. Feels very luxurious.
The villa is spacious and really comfortable and all the rooms are lovely. The AC is a godsend as without it, it would be too warm inside as the heat starts to build very early on.
Sian the host was brilliant and very happy to communicate at any point of the holiday, as was property manager Mary, though the villa is so well done that very little help was needed.
There are a few regular stray cats that visit every day, and whether you love or hate cats you can't help but feel the need to feed these ones as they are really quite sweet.
We had a chameleon swimming in the pool and a praying mantis sunning itself. Great sights.
The views are amazing; on one side, the mountain range and on the other, the Med.
There is a shop about a half-hour walk away down the hill which is a nice walk but much tougher on the way back up! The shop has most things including fresh bread, fruit and veg.
Every day, there are 5 Muslim calls to prayer over a loudspeaker which resonates through the village, starting at sunrise and the last one around 9.30pm. This is culturally amazing and we spent some time Googling what each prayer time meant.
Overall, the villa and it's immediate location are wonderful.
Cons: The barbecue is beautiful aesthetically but not very practical as it is too shallow and doesn't build enough heat to cook anything larger than a prawn but there is a perfectly good oven inside for roasting the delicious local veg and grilling burgers etc.
Though the villa, it's amenities and the views are all stunning, the wider locality is not pretty and there is a lot of rubbish on the streets and beaches, so we spent a lot of time buying in provisions and staying in our little bit of luxury in the mountains.
The villa is very hard to find for the first time, especially in the dark so advice is to use Bellapais car rentals to hire your car and get a taxi transfer from the airport, as they know exactly where the villa is." ~Beverley
"Pros: The antiquities around the hotel were a nice touch. The gardens and pool area were very tranquil, great for relaxing and chilling out.
Cons: Breakfast isn’t served until 8:30, which was too late for me, as I was on a diving holiday and needed to be away but 7:45 each morning.
Tea and coffee facilities in the room would have been a big bonus." ~Ian
