"Pros: We had a lovely stay here. Big rooms. Fun outdoor/indoor cooking and dining area. Good hot tub. Wood was provided on request for the indoor and outdoor fireplaces. Great location for visiting the local area. The house has lots of character and we were looked after by someone who spoke excellent English. Garden is fenced in and gated which is good with small children. Hosts were responsive. Cons: We had a few minor maintenance issues with the house. When we arrived, we prepared a meal and then went to cook it, only to discover that the gas cylinder was empty. This was resolved fairly quickly by our hosts although we had to have a cold meal that evening. The boiler downstairs didn't work so one of the showers didn't work and there was no hot water for the downstairs bathroom or the kitchen. This was a bit annoying and did not get resolved during our stay. Also, the hot tub went greenish until we requested chemicals for it (probably should have had some in from the start of our stay) and also had to be plugged in each day via an extension lead through an open window. The bedding situation was a bit odd to us (from a British perspective). One of the bedrooms does not have heating or air conditioning in it so was a bit cold. We were provided with duvets but there were no covers available for them." ~Rebecca
