From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. The hosts are kind-hearted, and always ready to assist with a smile or kind word. Their hospitality felt sincere — not professional in the hotel sense, but deeply personal, like family. The location is peaceful and surrounded by nature, with a beautiful balcony view and access by car to Lovran and the coast. "Pros: We booked Apartment Alyss (with terrace view) for a week during summer. The apartment is big enough for up to four guests, but I imagine that could get a little crowded. However, for two people it is absolutely fine. The interior of apartment is lovely and it comes with a nice little terrace and garden. In the beginning, we were a little disappointed because we thought we had booked the apartment with sea view. Anyway, that was our fault and the garden view was lovely though. The host, Alisa, was really kind too and the apartment was mostly clean. The kitchen equipment is basic, but sufficient. It includes a washing machine and Alisa was so kind to provide tabs for it. She also surprised us with a delicious little welcoming gift. We enjoyed our time there very much and do recommend it for people who want to enjoy a summer vacation in Istria, but do not want to spend too much money. Cons: When we booked the apartment, we had the idea that it even though it is a long way down to the beach, it would still be manageable. When we arrived there, we had to admit that walking up the hill from the beach to the apartment may be possible, but not with temperatures over 30 °C. For all people feeling the same way: That means that you really depend on your car up there for almost every activity. Moreover, driving and parking can be quite challenging for people who aren't used to steep and narrow roads or parking lots. Parking is provided in the yard, but it also includes parking downhill. You have to share the parking lot with the neighbour next door and that can be difficult if one of you has a bigger car. In the end we decided to park on the street the entire time, which was okay, but during summer it can prove difficult to find a parking lot there. Unfortunately, the neighbour next door had two really annoying dogs, who barked at all times during day and regularly even at night. Therefore, I recommend to use earplugs. Two smaller things: I missed a stopper for the sink (maybe I didn't find it?). I also missed a mosquito net, at least in the bedroom, because the mosquitos really liked me this summer :/" ~Liane

"Pros: I recently stayed at Apartment Paola and had a wonderful experience. The apartment was exactly as described—clean, modern, and very comfortable. The location was perfect, very close to the main area, making it easy to explore the area. The host Iliya was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed during our stay. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and the communication was excellent. The apartment itself was well-equipped with all the essentials, and the view from the balcony made our stay even more enjoyable. It truly felt like a home away from home. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Opatija. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip! Cons: Nothing…. Everything was perfect!!!" ~Jatin
