"Pros: My husband, two teenagers, and myself very much enjoyed our stay at Casa Luna. I would stay here again. Grounds are beautiful. One of the hot tubs was quite nice. The pool was beautiful. There is a very nice short hiking trail along a river on the grounds. There are frogs, lizards, birds, etc on the grounds which we enjoyed. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Good coffee. Fresh fruit juice. Our room was small but clean and with sufficient towels. We had rented a car and found it very easy to drive to everywhere we wanted from Casa Luna.
Cons: The WiFi does not work in your room. You must walk to the lobby in order to get WiFi. Sounds of the rain forest can be loud at night but I found this to be true everywhere in Costa Rica. I would certainly rather hear sounds of nature than other people. Ear plugs or white noise on your phone can easily drown it out if it bothers you. We had dinner there only one night. The food and drinks were delicious but overpriced. There is a pool and 3 hot tubs. Only one of the hot tubs was hot. The hotel has affiliations with various groups that run activities- ie- zip lining, atv riding, river float, hot springs, etc. The lobby staff are nice and speak fluent English but not particularly helpful with planning activities unless it is with one of their affiliated groups. I planned my own excursions which were cheaper and worked out just fine." ~Kim
