"Pros: +The house is brand new, extremely clean, and well-equipped with everything from kitchen utensils to towels and bedding. +Beds are comfortable and roomy with plenty of pillows available +The kitchen had everything you need for cooking: pots, pans, even items like salt, oil, tea, coffee etc. +The garden is beautiful and well-maintained, with attention to special details like the plant arrangements with cute succulents and flowers. +The children's play area was perfect for our preschool-aged children. +There are games and puzzles for the children and even a piano (though it could use a tuning...) +There are plenty of comfortable sleeping and seating options, lounging chairs etc. Even a great hammock! +The dining table extends to fit more people: this was very helpful for our group. +There is excellent communication with the host, who is kind and thoughtful, even sharing with us vegetables from her garden. +The location is excellent not far from a small town, which is great for grocery shopping, but isolated enough where you can have complete peace and quiet. Cons: -There are dogs on a nearby property that barked throughout the entire night. -There is only one curtain on the windows in the bedrooms upstairs, which was not sufficient for keeping out the very bright morning light and the street light that is right outside the window -There is an additional contract to sign upon arrival which outlines that pets are allowed, but only with permission and this was not clear from the Booking.com listing -"Hidden fee" about using firewood: if you make a campfire more than once, there is a (reasonable) fee for any additional times. -The grill grate was very rusty and the main metal body of the grill was deteriorating. -The Wifi connection was not very strong." ~Rachel
