"Pros: I really liked this hotel, but it is a bit quirky. It is a 1970's style building and is very weary. The rooms are clean but need decorating, it is very 1970's. There is a real Chinese feel to the whole place, this is defo not an international chain feel. The staff were delightfully friendly. The location is fantastic, superb view from the room over looking the ocean and beach.
Just about 200 metres walk from the Cheung Chau Ferry Pier and very easy to find. The island is small and the hotel is ideal, for the beaches, village centre and the excellent walks around the north and south of the island.
Breakfast was a limited choice, but cooked and served by 2 absolutely ,lovely ladies in a small kitchen in the breakfast room, very like a small Chinese café feel!
Cons: The hotel really needs decorating. I was unlucky to have a spell of unusually cool and very windy weather, which meant both the room and the communal areas were uncomfortably cold. The staff and customers were having breakfast with their coats on. It wasn't a massive problem, but not great."
