All citizens of Chile, regardless of the duration of their stay, and all foreigners who stay in the country for at least 60 consecutive days may have to pay the national sales tax (19%) when checking out. To obtain a tax exemption, foreign citizens must, upon entry, pay for their stay in foreign currency (not in Chilean pesos) and present a valid passport along with the migration card they received upon entering the country. If a person subject to paying the tax and another exempt from the same share a room, the rate may be applied to the entire room.
Please note check-in is at 14:00, guests arriving before are welcome to leave their bags at the luggage storage and use the hotel's facilities until their room is ready. If rooms are ready and available before 14:00, guests are welcome to use the room. Please note check-out is at 12:00, guests are welcome to continue using facilities for the day even after their room is returned. Based on s, Chilean citizens, residents, and foreigners staying more than 59 days in Chile must pay an additional fee of 19% (VAT tax).
