"Pros: Staff and everyone at the Lodge were extremely friendly accomodating and helpful. Tomas was a wealth of information. We would use him as a guide if we weren't skilled hikers. The Lodge is like a northern location in the Midwest. Nothing glamorous but a very nice "lodge" atmosphere. Fodo was good, the staff spoke excellent english since my Spanish sucks. My retirement goal is to speak reasonably fluent Spanish within a year upon retirement which is very soon. Cons: The buses that arrive and run at the Turis ferry destination. Ntohing that Petrohue can do about this but you should be awars that there are numerous buses that arrive daily and in the heighgt of the summer tourist season it is signifcant. Nothing to deter one from arriving at this location." ~James
