"Pros: The breakfast was copious, with a wonderful variety each day. The room was a good size and was very clean. The staff was kind and friendly. The location was great and it was an easy walk to the main square and a good restaurant.
Cons: I was given a room overlooking the waterfront - which sounds wonderful, unless you are noise sensitive. It was my mistake that I didn't ask for a quieter room when I was first shown the room. The hotel is on a main road and the traffic is constant. If you are sensitive to noise, make sure to request a room towards the back of the hotel.
Also, this was the first hotel that did not accept debit cards - pesos, U.S. dollars, or credit cards. This surprised me because anywhere else gave a choice of debit card or credit card (or cash)."

All citizens of Chile, regardless of the duration of their stay, and all foreigners who stay in the country for at least 60 consecutive days may have to pay the national sales tax (19%) when checking out.
