"Pros: Quick check-in, friendly owner. The room was very spatious, with seating besides the bed, and a nice balcony (pity the wind was too strong to enjoy it). It is close to many things, but there are also many buses passing by all the time for going further. There is a bakery and an extremely cheap good food restaurant (Bar Atlantic) across the road. There is also a mini market that has most things. The ferry port is 20 minutes on foot, as is the beach (beach practically unusable due to wind, but incredible light and colors). Good wifi in the house. There is a common kitchen. Cons: The shower area was always full of water even when we did not use it. There seems to be a pipe problem of some kind in the bathroom. Not seeing the water on the floor I slipped and almost fell. The bidet was also closed and out of function." ~Strigoica

"Cons: The room had no air conditioning, and the ceiling fan was of little help on hot days. The WiFi router is old, I couldn't get internet on my cell phone, however after changing settings on my laptop I was able to get internet." ~Chaves

"Pros: Chris is great and the apartment is so nice (honestly the pictures don't do it justice). Quick walk to the beach, which we loved. The apartment has sea views from all the living room windows, bakery and shop near by and 20 mins walk to town. We are in nearby crazy kitchen which was great food with a mix of tourist and locals Fully equipped kitchen Mindelo isn't a quiet town so there is noise from the city, but that's to be expected and I slept well (even though I'm a light sleeper)" ~Kirsty
