"Pros: Your feet are dangling over the Pacific ocean at high tide, with a view across the strait of the Island mountains, the ferry comings and goings and possibly the odd whale, from the deck, and Port McNeill's twinkling lights from your comfy pillow. Nature at your deck. I doubt that there is a safer place on the planet. Excellent internet connection. I have stayed here 4 times and I hope that there will be a fifth. The host Lynne, could not possibly be a nicer person.
Cons: Through no fault of Orca Lodge, I noticed that the perfectly drinkable water has a sulphury scent to it for the last couple of years, which I easily circumvent by bringing a container of water for drinking. I never did master the art of making toast in the toaster oven."
