"Pros: The yurts were immaculately clean, comfortable & toasty warm. Proximity to amazing walks in valley & hills opposite. Cons: The dining area was a little utilitarian but food delicious. The drive along the north side of Issy KUL is long at the moment with plenty of roadworks - suggest the south side." ~Georgina

"Pros: A very adorable and comfortable stay when considering how inexpensive it is! The breakfast was homemade and huge at no additional cost. I was paying hostel dorm prices, but I had a very private room where I slept like a baby. The location is close to the bus stop, which was very convenient. The best part was how friendly and generous the host family was. They made me feel very welcome. Cons: There is no shower on the premises, but that ended up not being a problem since the hosts kindly escorted me to a friends home to shower. I didn't mind since the stay was so cheap." ~Alec

"Pros: The hostess was awesome and friendly. We reached around 10 pm for check in and she kept the kitchen open and had the dinner ready for our hungry stomach. The food was awesome and we had a great time there. The place was properly heated and kept us warm among the cold mountains. She spoke english and was very easy to converse. The breakfast was also very good. Cons: We travelled from cholpon ata to this place and the roads were really bad throughout the drive. Not saying as fault of this lodge but general road condition of kyrg. And do NOT trust google map. We were taken to a dead end at Kyrgystan border and we had to take a detour of almost 3 hours. Use 2gis or maps.me for travel in kyrg and use the road through karakol to go to this lodge." ~Mohammad

Valla is a fantastic cook and an incredibly thoughtful host—she genuinely cares about your comfort, making sure you're warm at night with high-quality sleeping bags and a cozy fireplace in your sleeping area. The Yurt Camp is set in a pristine location, surrounded by majestic mountains and rolling green hills, and it feels completely safe. If you're looking to treat yourself to adventure, heartfelt hospitality, and a peaceful place to connect with nature, you absolutely must stay here.
