"Pros: The guards were very friendly and kind. The host was pleasant to speak with and appeared receptive when issues were raised. I liked the environment and decor given where the property is located. Cons: Several things contributed to my stay not being as pleasant as I had hoped. Here are a few things that made my stay miserable: 1. The surprise extra payment or expected deposit for use of electricity. Even with one paying the electricity for the number of days of stay, I ran out of electricity within a day of use. The host needs to reconsider how he charges for electricity as it appears not legit to be paying for it multiple times when the host knows that the city is hot and there's absolutely no way one can stay without a cooling system. 2. Mosquitoes, Mosquitoes Mosquitoes.. do not go here if you are not ready to be bitten by those at night, even if you have a spray. I know for a fact that I will soon be sick of malaria. 3. Location: Although in Akwa, getting transportation to some places can be tricky, many bikes and taxis do not know how to get to the location. 4. The furniture in the apartment was old and stained...probably because many people have passed through the apartment and used it." ~Simone
