"Pros: The apartment could have been nice if it weren't for the uncleanliness and cockroaches that prevented us from staying there. The view was nice and the location was good for the beach. Cons: When we arrived, we noticed that the apartment hadn't been cleaned properly and a lot of things had been left dirty including bedsheets and cooking equipment. We then noticed cockroaches on the walls and on the floors. We asked the host about this and they said it was an ongoing problem with the building and told us where the cockroach killer was kept so we could put it into the drains. This made no difference. There were cockroaches all over the beds and so we had to sleep on the sofa with the lights on to scare away the cockroaches. Just to top it all off we got an angry message from the cleaner for reporting the uncleanliness to the owner! We stayed one night before having to find alternative accommodation due to the cockroaches. I asked for a refund and the most I seem to be able to get is half of my money back despite the fact that we could stay only one night of the ten that we had booked. Avoid this apartment! Avoid booking.com apartments altogether as they cant refund you if it's unsuitable!" ~Chumley
