"Pros: Stunning, gorgeous view - the most beautiful view of any property I’ve ever stayed in. Nice interior design, lighting, mirrors, and well-equipped little kitchen. You can visit the island easily: cross the street, take a right, walk to the bar, and pay 10 Reais per person roundtrip. Beautiful beach on the other side of the island; just walk along the line of the palm trees once you get to the island. If you’re staying in the apartment long term, you’re allowed to use washing machines twice a week, and you’re also entitled to two free cleanings (maid service) per week - schedule laundry and maid service one day in advance. Maid service is Monday through Friday mornings and afternoons, and Saturday mornings. Laundry is 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm, 11am, 3am — you get to use the machine for four hours. Bring your own laundry detergent. There’s also a machine that you have to pay for, but it has its own detergent, which you might not like; it’s easier to just use the free machines. Cons: The shower drain is poorly designed and clogs easily. To clear the drain, pry out the metal grate, remove and clean the plastic drain cover, and replace the drain cover and grate.
