"Pros: - The owners are really friendly and always available and helpful! - Breakfast is really good - Everything was very clean Cons: - I think I was unlucky, and I got the worst room in the Pousada (I saw that the others were renovated and nicer). My room was very old, dark and shabby: no plug sockets anywhere in the room to charge my mobile phone or other electronic devices (I had to use the only one available next to the modem far from the bed), no light switch next to the bed, which means that I had to walk in the dark if I needed to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night! For the price you pay (which allows you to stay in a 4 Star hotel in Recife) I would expect that at least they provide shampoo and shower gel and a little bottle of water...I understand it's basic and that everything is overpriced in Noronha, but these small details would be really welcome. - Now the worst part: there is a bar with VERY loud music just across the street in front of the pousada. It's impossible to sleep until almost midnight! I had to cross the street twice and ask the guys to turn the volume down and 23h30 because I couldn't sleep! I know it's not the Pousada owners' fault, but they should really make an effort in trying to solve the situation. It's unacceptable to pay this high price to visit "paradise" and a natural reserve and not be able to sleep in silence..." ~Cristina

"Pros: The staff was Amazing. Went above and beyond with accommodations and helpful suggestions. Always available by WhatsApp nearly all the time. The room, bed, bathroom was always clean Room # 3 is the best. Trust me, you'll thank me later. I wish I could add a Pic but large bay windows with beautiful views. Just know there's a nasty unpleasant dirt road to the rooms. I say nasty because you may slip if it rains. But really good stay for the money. Cons: When it rained, it did pour inside the room and bathroom. Luckily not on bed. Apparently one of the panels/tiles blew off due to strong winds. It definitely was not fun that night. Just ask them when you check in if all the panels/tiles are secure due to possible heavy wind and rain." ~Felicia

"Pros: The reception and breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful when I needed anything, and the breakfast was good too if a little repetitive over a week. Nice location in the middle of everything. Cool back deck and hangout area at the front, kitchen acceptable for cooking. Cons: There was a staff member sleeping in the dormitory with me which was strange, and annoying when his alarm would go off very early in the morning. There was also a weird vibe when some unfriendly construction workers seemed to be staying there rather than other travellers, as well as some other men hanging around the hostel who were not friendly. Maybe it's because I was foreign. I didn't see the sofa area or the pool table or ping pong that are in the photos on this site. The room felt tired and in need of renovation for example the curtain holders on the bunk beds are very flimsy. It's an expensive island but I still expect more of a hostel for this price." ~Toby
