"Pros: The place is pretty cool, especially for the summer hot days. The hosts are awesome and lovely people, they explain all plans available in the area and Vanessa even walked with me to the beach and gave me tips for my next destination. Thanks guys! Cons: There are some basic amenities missing such as kitchen cloth, hand soap and hand towel. I understand soap and towels for showering are not included but every hostel/inn has hand towel and soap." ~Daniela

"Pros: The host was very friendly and accommodating. She made me some food on my last day and wouldn't accept payment which was very thoughtful Cons: It was in a favela, and so the location wasn't great. Dogs barking all night. Room was very hot with only a fan to try and stay cool. Dangerous plumbing in shower but I think this is standard in Brazil" ~James

"Pros: The property was clean and had a well equipped mini-bar. The personnel was also very responsive. Cons: The room wasn’t as spacious as expected, the bathroom sink was nearly falling apart. The neighbourhood is quite noisy before bedtime and the walls/windows are not soundproof, which felt a little chaotic and not so private. After 10 pm the area was pretty quiet though." ~Jeannet
