"Pros: We spent two nights at Askiesbos and felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff is warm and friendly and takes care of everything you need. The tent is absolutely amazing - we had the River Tent number one with a bathtub and outdoor area. There were plenty of blankets, so we didn't freeze even in the winter. A small fridge, water kettle, and great toiletries like shampoo and conditioner were provided. Breakfast and dinner with a view of the river were delicious, and dinner was a great three-course menu. At night, we could hear the hippos grunting. We did the sunset cruise with Lucky, a fantastic guide who knows everything about the animals and explains it perfectly. The tour cost 400 Pula, and we saw many animals already. We then booked the 6-hour Pan Händle tour with Lucky for the next day, which cost 1000 Pula per person. We even saw hippos and enjoyed a great lunch on the way. One thing to note is that the photos really don't do the accommodation justice - it's way better in real life! The beauty of the surroundings and the attention to detail in the tent are truly special. We were sad to leave after two days and would love to come back. The accommodation is absolutely recommended, especially the sunrises and sunsets during meals are a dream. We even had the chance to meet the owner of the farm." ~Sandra
