"Pros: The house is very well-insulated, elegant and modern. Finishes are of a high standard, especially the gorgeous bathroom. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped. We were close to many of the attractions of the Ardennes and the host was responsive to queries. The village was wonderfully quiet and peaceful, which is exactly what we were after. Cons: The open-plan layout was fine for us as a family, but might be an issue for two couples sharing. It would be nice to have a door for the main bedroom so noise doesn't travel upstairs." ~Amanda

Decorated in a mountain theme, this chalet is situated in a secluded setting, 3 km south of Paliseul in the Walloon region. The grounds at La Fontaine include a tranquil pond and terrace with barbecue. Le Chalet Pré de la Fontaine includes a spacious open-plan living area with a wood-burning fire and an equipped kitchen with a dining area. The chalet also has a bathroom with a shower. Guests receive breakfast including pastries and tea/coffee on their first morning. Freshly prepared organic soup is served upon request every day. Le Chalet is less than a 20-minute drive from Bouillon which offers sights including the Archéoscope Godefroid de Bouillon and Bouillon Animal Park. Rochehaut is 16.5 km away.
