There’s also a nearby town where you can do some small shopping and enjoy a good meal (since the hotel's restaurant was closed during my stay). The hotel’s amenities are lovely, with a pool and a sauna providing a perfect retreat after a day of walking in nature. One unique touch was the farm area with adorable alpacas—such a delightful addition that made my stay feel even more special. Cons: The only area I would suggest for improvement would be breakfast options. "Pros: The property is in a great location from which to visit the Waterloo battlefield and museums. The main museum is 10 mins up the road. The gite is located in a pleasant little village within an easy walk of Gnappe (10-15mins) where you can get groceries etc. Cons: How we collected the keys could have been made a bit clearer. We were asked when we would be arriving but no one was there to greet us. After waiting for a while we phoned the host who then gave us the code to the lock box. They could have messaged all this before we arrived." ~James
