"Pros: Hostess Caro is very kind and welcoming. She communicated quickly through text, and despite us arriving 1.5hr late, she was forgiving and helpful. The breakfast is A-M-A-ZING! A lot of it is homemade and locally sourced, and so very flavorsome. On our hike we got tired and Caro was kind enough to pick us up somewhere in the middle of nowhere :p Thanks for the hospitality! Cons: A bit cold in the building, but it's an old building so you can expect that." ~Lisa

"Pros: The photos are amazing, and usually never really live up to reality. But this place is unbelievable! The house is huge, rooms are very spacious, beds are comfortable and the whole house was spotless. The play area in the attic was a favourite hang for the kids, as was the playground in the backyard. The owner is very responsive and very friendly. You arrive, park your car and you don’t really need it anymore. You can walk to the center of Barvaux and find restaurants and cute shops. Or cross the river over the bridge right next to the house and either go for a hike towards Durbuy or go grocery shopping at the Delhaize right across the bridge. you can easily park 3-4 cars on the property and there’s a small parking lot next to the house. Kitchen is well equipped (we were missing some oven gloves and a strainer, but that’s it! we texted the owner and they were going to fix that) We had a fabulous stay and felt safe the whole time." ~Gwen
